Osprey Aura AG65
backpack review
Major pros- The Osprey Aura AG 65 backpack is extremely adjustable, and even though they make a extra small, small and medium size, from there, there is a lot of sizing wiggle room. The hip belt can be adjusted about 3 inches, and the waist strap can be adjusted about 7 inches on each side.
The mesh backing on the back and the hip strap of the Osprey Aura AG is sturdy, but allows for plenty of airflow so the pack won't get too sweaty, and it allows your back and hip area to breathe.
There are a total of 9 pockets, including the main compartment, a sleeping bag compartment, 3 outer mesh pockets, 2 pockets on the brain, and 2 convenient and very roomy hip belt pockets.
The zippers are very sturdy and waterproof.
This pack also has a place for your water bladder, as well as a spot for the hose to come out and attach to your shoulder strap.
Major cons- The hip belt of this pack is extremely sturdy and naturally curls inwards, which makes putting the backpack on and taking it off quite a hassle. You definitely have to figure out a good technique.
Another con in my opinion is that the backpack does not come with a built-in rain fly like some other backpack brands have. The backpack is water resistant up to a certain point, but if you know you are going to be in an area where there could be periods of heavy rain, you will need to purchase an additional rain fly.
